According to survey results, nearly one-third of students reported not feeling safe at school and all groups surveyed indicated a rise in substance abuse, depression, and anxiety amongst students.

A national report released by Safe and Sound Schools, in partnership with Raptor Technologies and Lightspeed Systems, reveals school safety perceptions from school district administrators, public safety staff, teachers, parents, and students. The survey also identifies where there are gaps amongst stakeholders. Notably, students are expressing the greatest concerns over feeling safe physically and emotionally.
