About this Webinar

Students spend critical instructional time in your hallways due to unstructured student movement, inconsistent pass systems, and limited visibility across campus.

Over time, these gaps impact learning, school culture, and safety—contributing to increased behavior issues, unsupervised meetups, vaping, vandalism, and reduced readiness during emergencies.

In this webinar, Elizabeth Harris, M.Ed, from Energy Institute High School, Houston ISD (TX), will share how they are approaching student movement to protect learning time, strengthen safety and accountability, and reduce behavioral issues—without adding burden to staff.

Key Takeaways

  • Understanding how student movement affects learning time and influences school culture.
  • Building consistent, schoolwide practices that strengthen visibility, accountability, and safety.
  • Adapting to emerging trends and policy changes impacting student movement.
  • Aligning policies, processes, and tools to reduce disruptions without adding burden to staff.
