Phil Gothard

Phil Gothard is a security consultant, grant strategist, and special operations veteran dedicated to helping schools strengthen campus safety. A former member of the U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment, Phil brings more than 20 years of experience in security operations, proposal management, and government funding programs.

After serving in the military, Phil worked in diplomatic protection and security leadership roles before focusing his efforts on helping schools access federal funding to improve safety. Through his work at Gothard Consulting, Phil helps schools navigate complex federal funding opportunities such as the Department of Justice’s School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP). His work has helped schools secure nearly $7 million in federal funding, enabling districts that might otherwise lack resources to implement meaningful safety improvements.
