End-of-year events like graduations and large campus gatherings bring increased attendance, outside visitors, and more complex logistics.
In this webinar, hear directly from school leaders Paula Summers, Clay County Schools (FL), and Jason Davis, School District of Albany (NY), as they share how they are preparing for high-attendance events, from managing visitor check-in and access to coordinating staff across campus. We’ll also touch on how schools are thinking about communication and response if something unexpected occurs.

Paula Summers is the Family and Community Engagement Specialist for Clay County District Schools in Florida. In her current position, Paula has led the establishment of a consistent volunteer management system across all 42 district schools and has trained front office staff and volunteer coordinators on the effective understanding and implementation of these procedures. Under her leadership, the district now supports more than 13,000 registered volunteers, including over 2,000 who have completed Level 2 background clearance. She and her team were also one of the very first districts to pilot our new EventSafe solution for managing large school events and has seen great success since implementing. /p>

Jason Davis served with the City of Albany Police Department for over 20 years, including assignments as a Sergeant in the patrol division and the Traffic Safety/Special Operations Division. As a Sergeant in the Neighborhood Engagement Unit, he was the liaison to the school District and supervisor for the School Resource and Community Service Officers. A member of the Albany School District's safety leadership team since 2023, Davis has worked in school safety for nearly 13 years, serving first as a security monitor and then Chief Emergency Resource Officer in another District before returning to the City of Albany.
In addition to his law enforcement background, Davis has experience in Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG), Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) and is a member of the Albany County Threat Assessment Coordination Team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University at Albany.
