He is a frequent speaker and writer about school safety and has contributed to numerous panels on best practices, such as the Federal Commission for School Safety, held by the Department of Homeland Security in 2018. Paul is an experienced Crisis Assistance Team volunteer through the National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA) and is certified in Vulnerability Assessment Methodology (VAM) through Sandia National Laboratories and the ALPHA vulnerability assessment methodology.
