Alyssa’s Law was recently enacted in Virginia, permitting school boards to provide staff in elementary and secondary schools with wearable panic alert systems. Districts that move forward must select a system capable of signaling an emergency to local 911 PSAPs and sending multisensory notifications—both of which are supported by Raptor Badge Alert.
In this webinar, Nick Caputo (Lynchburg City Schools, VA) and Nick Georges (Fairfax County Public Schools, VA) will discuss their districts’ implementation of Raptor Badge Alert. Also hear how CRG's integrated maps, displayed directly in the Raptor platform, give first responders precise, real-time location details during an emergency.

Nick Caputo is the Lynchburg City Schools Division Coordinator for School Safety & Security, with extensive experience in physical security, crisis management, and the development of technology-driven safety infrastructure. He is committed to fostering safe, supportive learning environments by integrating advanced systems such as IP Network camera systems, AI-driven analytics, firearm detection, interactive maps, mass notification systems, and physical security measures.
His approach emphasizes collaboration with law enforcement, community organizations, and external agencies to address physical security, mental health, and emergency preparedness. Nick has worked closely with school districts and external partners to design and implement comprehensive safety strategies that empower educators, students, and families.

Nick Georges brings more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology, including roles as an IT consultant supporting Wall Street firms and as an IT Project Manager. With over 30 years of experience in safety, security, and emergency response—including 20 years dedicated to school safety—Chris Porter serves as the Director of Product Management at Raptor Technologies. Drawing from his background in the military and as a first responder, he works closely with schools to assess their safety needs and implement effective solutions to meet them.
