Todd Brendel serves as the School Resource Officer (SRO) for Dayton Independent Schools in Kentucky, bringing over two decades of law enforcement and school safety experience to the role. He began his career in 1990 with the Mascoutah Police Department in Illinois, then served with the Kenton County Sheriff’s Office from 1992 to 1998, before joining the Erlanger Police Department in 1999 - where he became one of Kentucky’s first eight SROs. Brendel is recognized for his innovative approach to school safety, particularly in leveraging technology to improve emergency preparedness and day-to-day security. A longtime and valued partner of Raptor Technologies, Todd has played a key role in shaping product enhancements through hands-on feedback and early adoption of new features. His deep understanding of school safety and our solutions has made him an incredible asset - both to his district and to Raptor. In 2024, Todd joined the Raptor Customer Advisory Board and was also named the recipient of the SchoolSAFE Innovation Contributor Award for his forward-thinking contributions.
Emily Bodner has been with PublicSchoolWORKS since 2011 and leads the Safety Advisory, Managed Training team, focusing on implementation and support within the Staff Training system. Her team serves districts across 20 states and Alberta, Canada. With a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University and experience in multiple roles at PSW, Emily brings deep expertise in training systems, school operations, and customer support. She leads with a strong belief in being true partners to the districts we serve.
Dr. Christopher Wright is the Director of Teaching and Learning for Dayton Independent Schools in Kentucky, bringing more than 16 years of experience as a classroom teacher, school administrator, and district leader. A former English teacher and assistant principal, he was recognized with the 2018 Kentucky Council of Teachers of English State Teacher Award. In 2021, he earned his Doctorate of Education in Leadership Studies from Xavier University. In his current role, Dr. Wright oversees curriculum, instruction, and staff development for the district, with a strong focus on cross-department collaboration to support student outcomes and school safety. He also serves as mayor of Ludlow, KY, where he applies his leadership to serve the broader community.
